Description

The Requesters allege several damages to the community of San Joaquin of Santa Marta, because of the poor state of the access road to the village. The Requesters state that, as part of the compensatory measures for the damage the Project would cause the community, the Project Executing Agency committed to making road improvements. The Requesters indicate that even after the Executing Agency conducted asphalting, the pavement has given way and the road no presents some landslides. Consequently, the road has less than 6 meters of width to circulate in certain sections. According to the Request, this has already caused accidents and human fatalities and has increased the risk for people who circulate through said road. The Project is financed by the IDB through 5 financing operations, including two technical co-operations with and without sovereign guarantee and is co-financed by the BEI through CABEI and the IFC.This request is a reactivation of Request number MICI-BID-CR-2017-0116.
