Description

The Request describes allegations of environmental damage due to damage to flora and water runoff in one of the wetlands near the beach of Lake Nahuel Huapi, potentially linked to the construction of the works of the Program. During the Registration stage, the Requesters informed the Mechanism that the alleged concerns were being addressed by the Executing Agency and the Bank. Considering this situation, on May 15, 2023, the MICI notified the Requesters of the non-registration of the Request to allow for corrective actions in the area. Finally, MICI informed the Requesters that if in the future they considered that their concerns were still valid, they could return to the Mechanism. On April 26, 2023, the MICI granted the Requester an extension of 10 working days to provide additional information needed to process the case.
